MAXCAP-event on 14 January
Dear friends and colleagues,
On behalf of the Leiden University team researching the effects of European Union enlargement as part of the MAXCAP project, I would like to invite you to the presentation of first results of our analyses of the societal acceptance of enlargement, media discourses on Turkey and effects of immigration. Together with the European Commission Representation we organize an open briefing at the Europe House in the Hague, on 14 January 2015, from 9.30 to about 12.30, with lunch afterwards.
Following a year of data collection in the Netherlands, Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, Serbia and FYROM, we are now seeing first results and are keen to discuss with you our findings about the way citizens in these countries have experienced EU’s Eastern enlargement (2004-2007). We are fortunate to cooperate with the Commission’s representation and to have attending the Director of DG Neighbourhood and enlargement negotiations, Simon Mordue who will participate in the event. We hope for a lively discussion.
We would be very happy to see you at Europe House on 14 January.
Please see the attached flyer for more information on the event and registration. You can register at this e-mail address, which is also specified at the flyer. If you have any questions, you can contact me or Elitsa Kortenska.
I would also like to use this opportunity to wish you happy holidays and a wonderful 2015!
