1-3 July: The Third Hague Peace Conference
The Hague University of Applied Sciences is organizing The Third Hague Peace Conference for students who have a keen interest in contributing to better ideas on how to improve the maintenance of peace and humanitarian law.
This summer, The Hague University of Applied Sciences will open its doors for The Third Hague Peace Conference, attended by Bachelor’s and Master’s students from diverse international backgrounds. This conference will consist of a three-day interactive and intensive program from 1 July to 3 July 3 2015.
The purpose of the conference is to encourage new ideas on improving the maintenance of peace by the international community and to strengthen the protection of victims of violence by modernizing humanitarian law. The conference focuses on tackling diverse global challenges in these fields.
To attend the conference you have to enter the essay competition. The students writing the best 100 essays will be invited to participate in the conference. The essays should be uploaded by 5 May 2015 via http://www.thehagueuniversity.com/haguepeace.
The essays should contain either proposals on strengthening humanitarian law like the Geneva Conventions, or on maintaining peace more effectively by the United Nations Security Council and regional organizations.
